Emergency response
AET is recognised for its outstanding performance and commitment to pollution prevention and emergency response. The highest priority is given to being prepared for an oil spill emergency.
Our readiness to respond to all emergencies is supported by a state-of-the-art communications infrastructure which links up the AET group across Asia, the Americas and Europe. The crisis management team includes in-house Qualified Individuals and is supported by external specialists. Emergency Ship-Shore drills are conducted every quarter, involving different fleet vessels, different trading areas and all aspects of emergency and oil pollution management.
AET actively seeks to participate in drills conducted by the US Coast Guard and other Authorities, to ensure the highest standards are maintained. In keeping with the ISPS Code, security drills between ship and shore are a regular feature across the fleet.
