“The best way to learn something is through experience”, this was a sentiment shared by José Gomes, our Commercial Intern based in Rio de Janeiro, after his visit on our Dynamic Positioning Shuttle Tanker (DPST) Eagle Petrolina.
While the purpose of his visit was to attend a meeting onboard, he was fortunate to also be taken on a tour of the vessel by the Captain. This gave him the opportunity to see various parts of the magnificent DPST, from the superstructure, deck and engine room to the bow loading system and bridge, and also meet with the vessel’s officers and crew. At the end of the day, José was greeted by the breathtaking view of the sunset as he disembarked the vessel, which signified a perfect end to a memorable day.
Looking back on his time at sea, José shared: “It was a wonderful experience to spend a day onboard! This has greatly contributed to my knowledge and has been an extremely rewarding moment throughout my internship journey with AET.”
We are happy that José enjoyed his time onboard Eagle Petrolina and hope that he will continue to learn with us here at AET.
