AET clinches Tanker Operator of the Year Award 2024; named joint winner with Tsakos Energy Navigation

We are honoured to have clinched the Tanker Operator of the Year 2024 award and to be also named as joint winner with Tsakos Energy Navigation, at The Tanker Shipping & Trade 2024 Awards organised by Riveria Maritime.

This award recognises a tanker operator who has demonstrated outstanding performance, innovation, and leadership over the past 12 months. Other factors for the judges’ consideration included exceptional operational performance across the fleet, high levels of safety, efficiency, and reliability, while demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. Additional criteria included innovative crewing strategies, the maintenance of a modern and well-maintained fleet, strong financial performance and growth, as well as positive feedback from charterers, port authorities, and other stakeholders. See here for details of our submission.

The award caps a year of celebrations for AET as we mark our 30th anniversary in 2024. Collecting the award in London on 22 October 2024, Linda Murray, AET’s Global Director for HR & Facilities Management, acknowledged the collective and strong efforts of everyone at AET and within the wider MISC Group. “You deserve this award which is a testament to your hard work and commitment to truly making a difference as we work together as One AET to deliver progress,” she said. “I would also like to thank everyone who voted for us and our customers and partners for their continued support and trust in our organisation.”

We’d also like to congratulate our joint winner, Tsakos Energy Navigation, and other contenders in the category. “What is very evident is the combined passion and commitment each organisation has towards ensuring safety is priority, to driving operational efficiency, and contributing to environmental sustainability,” said Linda.
