Our commitment to safety at sea

AET participated in the biennial 8th Maritime Information Sharing Exercise (MARISX) conducted by the Information Fusion Centre (IFC) in Singapore earlier this month. The IFC plays a key role in ensuring safe and secure seas through timely and comprehensive information sharing and MARISX is one such platform to exercise operational linkages. The tabletop exercise involved over 100 participants across 29 countries comprising of Maritime Security (MARSEC) practitioners from 43 navies, coast guards, agencies such as INTERTANKO, P&I clubs, as well as 25 shipping companies.

Together with other delegates, our colleagues from Commercial and Corporate HSSE teams took part in the simulation exercise. Capt. Aniszamari Ibrahim, Operations Manager for VLCC/PCS said, “Such exercises are important multinational collaborations to share and exchange best practices, knowledge and insights across the industry. It also allows for discussions on challenges faced by the shipping community contributing to overall confidence building in maritime security.”

Our active participation underscores our commitment to continuous collaboration and partnerships with all stakeholders contributing to safety at sea.
