Today Eagle Passos, the fourth in a series of four newbuild second generation Dynamic Positioning (DP2) Shuttle Tankers purpose-built for charter to Petrobras, was successfully and safely delivered to AET. Eagle Passos will join her three sisters, Eagle Petrolina, Eagle Paulinia and Eagle Paraiso, and two other AET dynamic positioning shuttle tankers already operating in the Brazilian Basin for Petrobras.
This latest delivery further cementing our position as a top owner and operator of these highly specialised vessels bringing our dynamic positioning shuttle tanker fleet in Brazil to six with seven more DP2 shuttle tankers to be delivered in 2021-2022. In addition, we own four vessels operating in the North and Norwegian Sea – two of which are among the world’s first LNG dual-fuel DP2 shuttle tankers with VOC functionality. This is a further demonstration of our drive to consistently provide innovative, eco-efficient and sustainable maritime solutions and services for our global customers.
We wish the Captain and his crew onboard bon voyage and safe sailing always!
