On 27 June 2026, our Alpine Eagle Titans team - comprising Fathin Idris, David Kappelin and Martin Hildrum took part in The Mission to Seafarers' inaugural Maritime Mountain Race in Le Bouveret, Switzerland.
Competing in the 16km Sails & Summits course, the team completed a demanding alpine route in challenging summer heat. The terrain added to the difficulty, requiring steady effort throughout the course. The team worked closely together and supported one another from start to finish.
The event contributed to a broader global fundraising effort, which has raised over US$500,000 in support of The Mission to Seafarers’ frontline welfare work.
Reflecting on the experience, Team Captain Fathin Idris shared: “The heat pushed us, but the cause kept us going. Crossing the finish line together made months of preparation rewarding. I’m proud of Martin and David - we looked out for each other and rallied together through the tougher parts of the course and supported one another throughout.”
