On 18 September 2026, we were delighted to award the second cohort of AET-MaritimeONE scholars under the Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) in 2024 to jointly develop Singapore's maritime talent pipeline. The scholarships were presented at the MaritimeONE Scholarship Award Ceremony 2026, where Mr Murali Pillai, Senior Minister of State for Law and Transport, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour.
Ahmad Risdan, AET’s Global Director for HR & Facilities Management, presented the scholarship awards to four students majoring in Maritime Business at Singapore Maritime Academy@Singapore Polytechnic: Soonia Sivaprekash, Teo Jiale, Mikaela Natasha Miranda, and Tristan Valiant Loke. They were among the 61 scholars recognised this year for their academic excellence, potential, and passion for pursuing careers in maritime.
Through the scholarship, they will gain valuable industry exposure and hands-on experience in areas such as commercial operations, sustainability, and HSSE through a six-month internship programme with us.
This year marks AET's seventh year of contributing to SMF's MaritimeONE Scholarship Programme. We remain committed to nurturing the next generation of maritime talent and supporting the industry's efforts to develop skilled, future-ready professionals.
