At the S&P Asia Gas Markets Conference on 28 October 2025, held as part of Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), AET’s Head of Decarbonisation, Sobhith Hariharan shared how shipowners, charterers and regulators can work together to scale LNG adoption by strengthening bunkering infrastructure, aligning incentives, and ensuring safety and crew readiness remain at the forefront.
Joining industry leaders from FUELNG, and DNV to discuss how LNG is driving progress in the maritime sector’s decarbonisation journey, he noted that while no single fuel will define shipping’s future, LNG remains one of several key decarbonisation pathways within AET’s energy transition strategy as we advance towards our 2030 emissions-reduction goals.
As an early adopter of LNG dual-fuel vessels, and with more dual-fuel assets, including three of the world’s first ammonia dual-fuel Aframaxes underway, AET is making steady progress towards a lower-carbon future.
