AET President & CEO Nick Potter signing UN Global Compact's statement of commitment.
AET has joined the United Nations (UN) Global Compact, expanding its commitment to responsible and transparent business practices across its global operations.
Joining the Compact builds on the progress we’ve made in the past year. In 2024, we adopted an enhanced Human Rights Policy, reinforcing our commitment to fair employment, workplace safety, community wellbeing, and the elimination of forced and child labour. We also became part of the All Aboard Alliance, working with others in the maritime sector to advance diversity, equity and inclusion, and foster a more innovative and sustainable industry.
Now, as a signatory of the UN Global Compact, we’re deepening our commitment. We’ll continue integrating its Ten Principles into the way we do business, support the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and report publicly on our progress each year. This move also aligns us with our parent company, MISC, which joined the Compact earlier in March.
“Joining the UN Global Compact reflects AET’s commitment to operating with integrity, fairness and responsibility. By aligning ourselves with this global framework, we are reinforcing our focus on high standards – not only in how we treat people and protect the environment, but in how we conduct our business. As part of the wider MISC Group, we remain firmly committed to transparency, accountability and contributing to meaningful change across our industry,” said Nick Potter, President & CEO, AET.
