Four of our lightering support vessels have received the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Automated Mutual-Assistance Vessel Rescue (AMVER) Award at a ceremony hosted by The North American Marine Environment Protection Association on 21 May 2026.
In 2025, AET Responsibility was recognised for 14 consecutive years of participation in the AMVER System, while AET Excellence, AET Innovator and AET Partnership were each recognised for their first year of participation.
“This achievement reflects the commitment of our teams to safety at sea, responsible operations, and supporting the wider maritime community,” said Jonathan Hurst, Manager, HSSE & Assurance, who accepted the award on behalf of AET Offshore.
The AMVER System is a technology-driven network to support search and rescue operations globally. Through voluntary participation, vessels provide regular position reports that enable faster, more effective coordination during maritime emergencies.
This year, the USCG recognised 156 companies, including AET Offshore, representing more than 500 vessels. The collective efforts of the global maritime community in supporting this lifesaving initiative were lauded.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the USCG for this honour, and to our dedicated teams, whose professionalism and commitment continue to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
