The early morning start of 8am didn't deter our eight colleagues and their families and friends from joining Singapore Children's Society's Walk for Our Children held at Palawan Green, Singapore's Sentosa island on Sunday, 23 August 2026. The event attracted close to 3,600 participants.
This year's charity walk shone a spotlight on children's rights, including the right to be heard and respected. AET has been an active supporter of Children's Society for more than 10 years. Over the years, we have organised and participated in various initiatives such as refurbishing the gym at VOX @ Children's Society, Sports Day, and annual beach clean-ups.
Guest of Honour Dr Tan See Leng, Singapore's Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), flagged off the 2-kilometre walkathon. The morning also comprised a lively carnival, Kids Dash and live performances. These kept the energy going long after the walk ended!
The event raised over S$950,000 (USD 750,000) to support children and youth across Singapore. We were very glad to have been able to contribute in a small way to this with our participation.
