We’re proud to share that AET has received the Learning & Development award under the Best HR Initiative category at the Spinnaker Maritime People & Culture Awards.
This achievement reflects our continued commitment to building a people-focused and experience-led approach to learning and development across AET, creating meaningful opportunities for our people to grow, lead, and collaborate.
The award recognised several key initiatives that continue to strengthen our learning and development ecosystem:
- First Level Leader Programme (FLL)
- Divisional Short-Term Assignments (STAs)
- Pilot Job Swap Initiative
Together, these initiatives embed development into everyday work by strengthening leadership capabilities, encouraging cross-functional collaboration, expanding opportunities for growth, and supporting long-term organisational resilience.
The judging panel particularly highlighted the impact of the STAs and the way they were supported by the broader development ecosystem created through the FLL and Pilot Job Swap initiatives. They recognised how the STAs provided employees with opportunities to put themselves forward for projects and assignments beyond their usual roles, empowering them to take ownership of their own development journey and gain hands-on experience across different locations and divisions. This dynamic, experience and employee-led approach was recognised as a key strength behind these programmes.
A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to, supported and championed these initiatives. This achievement reflects the collaboration, commitment and shared belief across our organisation in investing in our people and their development and a testament of what we can achieve together as #oneAET.
