CEO Message
Over the last two months, I’ve spent time with our teams, customers and stakeholders across key markets – from Rio and Houston to Norway, Europe and the UK. These visits gave me a clearer sense into how our work is delivered and experienced on the ground, and what matters most to the people and partners we serve. I am very grateful to those who took the time to share honest feedback.
In Brazil and Norway, our DPST operations continue to deliver strong results, supported by the skill and experience of our local teams. In the US Gulf, our lightering business remains a trusted mainstay for many of you. And in the UK, our lean but capable team plays a vital role in supporting European business and global operations and building key relationships across the energy and maritime ecosystem.
On 10 June 2025, we had the pleasure of hosting our London Stakeholder Event, where we welcomed over 80 customers and partners for an evening of connection and appreciation. Many thanks to our guests; your presence made it a truly meaningful evening. It was also a powerful reminder of the collective strength we draw from partnership, and the possibilities we can unlock in navigating a sustainable future together.
Earlier that week, I also spoke at the Clarksons Tanker Panel at Nor-Shipping, where I joined fellow maritime leaders to discuss evolving tanker strategies and the broader challenges shaping our sector. These exchanges continue to reinforce the importance of agility, foresight, and partnership in a fast-changing operating landscape.
Looking ahead, we remain focused on improving how we support our customers – by continuing to deliver safely and reliably, making it even easier to work with us, and staying closely aligned to your evolving needs.
We also marked the Day of the Seafarer on 25 June. This year’s theme: “My harassment-free ship”, reinforces the need to ensure that everyone feels safe, respected, cared for, and treated fairly at work. It’s a reminder that the standard we walk past is the standard we accept.
And finally, the teams across AET are developing some innovative opportunities across the various tanker sectors. If you are interested to discuss, please reach out to your AET counterparties.
Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to what we can build together in the months ahead.
Best Regards,
Nick Potter

Recognising our Commitment to People and Culture
AET was named Runner-Up for Employee Engagement at the 2025 Spinnaker Maritime People and Culture Awards, in recognition of our efforts to fostering a connected, caring, and collaborative workplace.
The award reflects the success of our global engagement campaigns — #AETcares, oneAET, and AETInnovates — which brought colleagues together through wellness activities, cultural celebrations, and team-building events as part of our 30th anniversary.
“Our approach centres on Connection, Care, and Collaboration, and this recognition reflects the dedication of our people in making AET a great place to work,” shared Linda Murray, Global Director of HR and Facilities Management.
AET on Stage and In Conversation
In Singapore, AET hosted Guy Platten, Secretary General, and Thomas Kazakos, Secretary General Elect, of the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS) to our global headquarters in Singapore on 20 May 2025. We exchanged views on strengthening collaboration, shaping regulation, and driving the energy transition across our industry.
Meanwhile, at Nor-Shipping 2025, our President & CEO Nick Potter contributed to two vibrant discussions - a feature interview on leadership and the energy transition, and a tanker panel hosted by Clarksons, where he joined industry leaders for an open exchange on evolving tanker strategies and the shifting energy landscape.
Driving Dialogue on Clean Fuels and ESG
Our leaders and experts continued to share insights, champion collaboration, and drive discussions on decarbonisation, marine fuels, and operational resilience on international platforms.
At the Argus Clean Ammonia Conference in Houston on 30 April 2025, David Baker, Director of Commercial – Offshore and Global Lightering, spoke on a panel covering the evolving market for marine fuels and the potential of clean ammonia as a viable alternative. Together with speakers from Amogy, Navigator Gas, and NYK Group Americas, they discussed advancements in ammonia-fuelled engines, key demonstration projects, and insights from tugboat case studies.
On 15 May 2025, our Head of Sustainability, Chris Cattermole was interviewed by Singapore’s MoneyFM 89.3. He spoke about industry key shifts – from decarbonisation to the realities of ESG implementation, and highlighted the importance of partnerships and proactive action in building sustainable supply chains.
#AETcares: How We Showed Up for Our Communities
On 22 April 2025, AET volunteers had an afternoon of fun and friendly competition with youth members of VOX @ Singapore Children’s Society, following our gym refurbishment project in December 2024.
"Under our #AETcares initiative, we want to engage purposefully in the communities that we work and live in, and our afternoon at VOX was one way of doing that. It was a highly enjoyable and meaningful time. Singapore Children's Society is a long-standing community partner for AET, and we are glad we were able to spend time with its youth members" said Winnie Cruz-Ding, AET's Chief Financial Officer who spent the afternoon at the Children's Society VOX facility.
On 17 May 2025, our Finance Division organised its second annual food and care pack distribution. Together with their families, they delivered healthy packs to over 126 elderly and underprivileged residents. This initiative was also supported by AET’s Matched Giving Programme, which amplifies employee contributions to eligible causes.
AET Partners with Galveston Bay Foundation on Environmental Conservation Project at Chocolate Bay Preserve
On 19 May 2025, we announced our partnership with the Galveston Bay Foundation to support ecological restoration at the 4,714 acre Chocolate Bay Preserve in Texas. AET helped fund urgent repairs to a damaged water control structure to restore natural hydrology, protect biodiversity and strengthen the wetland’s role as a carbon sink.
“This project reflects the kind of practical, community-based conservation we’re proud to support through our #AETCares programme, which guides our community investment initiatives,” said Smriti Sharma, AET’s Global Director of Strategy, Sustainability & Enterprise Risk Management.
