Last month, AET's Rio office hosted a career workshop for students from Dream Learn Work (DLW), a non-profit dedicated to providing educational and employment opportunities for young people in socioeconomic vulnerability. The workshop aimed to introduce students to a variety of career paths and demystify both the corporate world and the maritime industry.
The day began with a corporate presentation outlining AET’s mission and operations. Students also learned about ship transfers, a core aspect of our business, gaining valuable insight into the maritime sector. Throughout the day, representatives from various AET divisions, including Legal, Finance, HR, and IT, shared an overview of their work, encouraging students to ask questions and share their thoughts on pursuing a career in the industry.
The workshop gave students a meaningful glimpse into life at AET while allowing Rio employees to share their experiences and expertise. It underscored the strong collaboration between DLW and AET, reflecting our shared commitment to empowering youth, nurturing the next generation of professionals, and opening doors to new opportunities.
A week later, AET attended DLW's graduation event, celebrating the accomplishments of students who completed their training programs. What a fitting conclusion to a week of learning, inspiration, and connection!
