Congratulations to Clare Tan, Shaun Loo, Mikayla Lee and Aniq Nasrullah – the first batch of AET-MaritimeONE scholars awarded under the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) last December. AET's Global Director for Strategy, Sustainability and Enterprise Risk Management, Smriti Sharma, presented the awards to the scholarship recipients at the SMF MaritimeONE Scholarship Awards Ceremony on 12 September 2025.

The scholars will be pursuing their studies at the Singapore Maritime Academy@Singapore Polytechnic majoring in Maritime Business or Marine Engineering. As part of their scholarships, they will also intern at AET for six months where they will be able to gain real-time experience in areas such as commercial operations, sustainability and HSSE.

AET's commitment to developing future generations of maritime talent extends beyond Singapore. Recently we expanded our collaboration with Texas A&M University at Galveston through a two-year cooperative agreement and sponsored the upgrade of the AET Tanker Simulation Lab. In the UK and Rio de Janeiro, we provide scholarships in collaboration with Newcastle University and Dream Learn Work respectively. We also offer internship opportunities across our offices.
