What’s it like to be on the other side of the career fair table? Our interns experienced this firsthand at the recent NUS Career Fair, where they took the lead in sharing what makes AET a great place to grow a career. NUS – or the National University of Singapore – is one of the country’s leading universities.
Students from various backgrounds stopped by our booth; some curious about the maritime industry and others eager to explore various career paths. Many were surprised by the breadth of opportunities at AET and the dynamic nature of our industry.
By sharing their experiences, career goals, and the unique learning opportunities they have had with us, our interns made life at AET more relatable, helping students bridge the gap between academic aspirations and real-world career paths.
As Richmond Heng, HSSE & Decarbonisation Intern, put it, “Attending the NUS Career Fair was an enriching experience. I truly enjoyed exchanging insights with students from diverse backgrounds and learning about their career aspirations.”
“Interacting with bright, eager students reminded me of the power of fresh perspectives and the endless potential that new talent brings to our industry,” Jolin Lim, Business Development & Technology Intern shared.
Engaging with students at events like these reinforces our commitment to nurturing talent and inspiring the next generation of maritime professionals. To all the students who stopped by —thank you for your enthusiasm and curiosity! We look forward to welcoming some of you as our future interns. Interested in exploring a career with us?
