CEO’s Message

We had an exciting start to the year, commencing our year-long celebration of AET’s remarkable 30-year journey. I am filled with gratitude for the support of our stakeholders as well as AET Board and the dedication of our global team. This milestone has been a testament to our commitment to innovation, partnerships, and sustainable growth.

Our anniversary festivities have brought us together as one AET family, uniting colleagues from across the seas and shores. From our offices to an appreciation reception in Singapore for our stakeholders, we have honoured our legacy while looking towards the future.

The welcoming of our latest LNG dual-fuel VLCC Eagle Veracruz to our fleet was marked with a truly special naming by Singapore’s Minister of Sustainability and the Environment, Grace Fu who is the Lady Sponsor of the vessel. Furthermore, with the registration of Eagle Veracruz, the Singapore Registry of Ships also surpassed the 100 million gross tonnage milestone.

This eco-efficient vessel not only symbolises our dedication to innovation but also putting into action our Energy Transition Strategy to deliver more energy with less emissions, while contributing to both energy security and environmental sustainability.

Beyond business, our commitment to community engagement remains unwavering. From supporting students in Malaysia to refurbishing spaces for children in Singapore, we strive to make a positive impact wherever we operate.

I am eager to embark on new collaborations and opportunities that align with our energy transition goals. I look forward to many more years of shared success and meaningful partnerships to write the next chapter of our story, leaving an even more impactful legacy for generations to come.

Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Best regards,
Zahid Osman
AET President & CEO

We celebrated a new milestone with the inaugural naming in Singapore of our latest Singapore-flagged LNG dual-fuel VLCC, Eagle Veracruz.

Building connections and shaping a brighter future

We believe that volunteering is not just about giving back. It’s about building connections and shaping a brighter future.

Our leaders traded suits for sneakers for the primary school students at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sedili Kecil in Johor, Malaysia, interacting, engaging, and cheering on our future generation. We also teamed up with the students in the ‘Wheel to Dream’ bike-building challenge, where we transformed loose pieces into dream machines – bicycles – given to needy students to commute to school. It was touching to see their faces light up when we surprised them with the sponsorship of new sports equipment and stationeries. We hope these tools will fuel their active spirit and bring even more joy to their school days.

In Singapore, over 20 colleagues volunteered in an AET-sponsored refurbishment project to enhance the facilities at Singapore Children’s Society’s Sunbeam Place. This is a residential home and gazette place of safety for up to 60 children and youths aged 2-21 who need protection or proper care. It was especially meaningful for our colleagues who helped to paint, pack, clean and replace furniture. We even had the opportunity to spend quality time with the children and staff over a movie treat.

Moving forward, we will strive to continue positively impacting the communities we operate in.
