AET Highlights September 2023

CEO’s Message

It was an eventful quarter for us at AET globally. In August, we delivered and named our latest LNG dual-fuel VLCC, Eagle Vellore, on long-term charter to Shell. I would like to take the opportunity and thank all our stakeholders for their support and trust in our brand promise with our commitment to deliver more energy with less emissions.

Furthermore, I was delighted to be able to visit our UK, Norway and all three Americas offices where I met with my teams as well as with many of you during various stakeholder engagements. In Brazil, we also came together with MISC and Eaglestar colleagues to celebrate the official inauguration of our new office space in Rio de Janeiro. This office marks another significant milestone and highlights the Group’s growth and commitment to the Brazilian market.

In the US and Singapore, we have awarded another eight scholarships this year through the Texas A&M Foundation in Galveston and Singapore Maritime Foundation. I’m particularly excited about our continued dedication to fostering maritime talent to ensure a bright future for this vital sector.

In addition, AET is proud to have been one of the sponsors of the 2023 The Mission to Seafarers’ Flying Angel Campaign, the Singapore Shipping Association’s annual Gala Dinner and the National Day & Malaysia Day Celebration hosted by the High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore.

Last but not least, I hope everyone had a great time celebrating World Maritime Day yesterday on 28 September. Even though I am a relative newcomer to the industry, it’s very encouraging to see and contribute to its continued growth as we move towards a more sustainable future.
